Still trying to decide to pay out for V3, but have another question, if anybody can help.
With the SPEED.......oooppps sorry "Safety camera" database loaded in V3, will it alert me of cameras even if I do not have a route selected, eg just switched on and driving. or do I have to have a route selected?
Thanks, Dave |

Simon
thanks for the info.
Although i object to again having to pay for full software after buying V1 then V2, it seems it is still a lot cheaper to buy V3 and have the advantage of the GPS speed camera alert, than buy a dedicated GPS based speed cam warning.

Hi Dave,
I have both the speed camera database on my Navman iCN630 and a Origin B2.
I have to say I like both - although I don't always have the Navman plugged in, it is useful to see when they are coming up= although they arn't directional - although if the are saftey cameras, warning of blackspots, then its not an issue is it :P
The OriginB2 is easier to update (Havne't tried the automatic sync thingy) as its just a plug a press job - and it does warn you if you haven't updated for a couple of weeks.
The Origin also only takes 2 seconds to drop into the cradle, when it auto powers on.
