|
|
I just purchased tom tom 2004 and I must say i love everything about it but the maps. I live in NC and roads that are 3 years old or newer are not listed. This really stinks. The HP software (nav pilot) that came with my blue tooth gps (HP acually made by Globlesat) seemed dated graphic wise but the maps are at least current. Does Tom Tom offer and updated maps? It dosent appear so from reading the reviews or checking there site. Will it help if I load the actual city maps? Meanin do the contain more detail than the full state maps. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated. |

There are no city maps in TomTom 2004 US.
TomTom 5 is about to be released, so there is hope that this will include more current maps. I specifically say "hope" because when TomTom 2004 came out it used the old TomTom 2 maps. _________________ Lutz

thats a shame because the TT 2004 graphics are very nice. But I am a bit disapointed that it dosent allow route options such as major roads, shortest quickest or local. |

I just purchased 2004 and 2005 will have latest maps and routing options. They better allow a cheaper priced upgrade from 2004 to 2004 or I will never buy another TT product. |

tomtom seems to be pretty good on upgrades. my upgrade to new maps for version 2 was free and the upgrade to 2004 was $53. whether the maps are updated is another story. |
