i have forgotton how to disable all the buttons (except power on) so i don't accidentaly turn the thing on in my pocket, manual is unclear, help please. |

This is not possible on the Mio, at least not with the onboard tools. There may be third party applications available that help here. _________________ Lutz

I seem to remember doing it before my battery died and I had to re-install everything. |

Start -> Settings -> System tab -> MIO Utility -> Wakeup tab and untick the items you wish in the "These items will wake up the system" section.
Does the trick for me, hopefully it will do what you want too.

Looks like this utility is not present in all ROM versions of the Mio. Mine didn't have that. _________________ Lutz

Mine also has those settings, but note that if you ever restore your Mio with Sprite Backup those settings are lost (as I found out after accidentally turning the damn thing on by mistake!). |

I don't know if the Mio has this most pocket PC has:-
settings>power control>advanced then tick Disable user keys
