Thanks swing, but this also sounds like an expensive sledgehammer, with a data connection every time I want to check a distance. I think I really need something I can use offline.

But a bit expensive for my purposes - I just want the route planner/distances, not GPS/satnav functionality.

An ETA or journey time remaining feature would be helpful.

Presumably you could try it by planning a route from one side of London to the other, using shortest route and avoiding tolls, and see what route it plans or run a simulation?

An ETA or journey time remaining feature would be helpful, updated every 5 minutes or so. The duration given for route planning is usually wildly optimistic.

When it tells you to take the next exit from a motorway or trunk road, it would be helpful if it also said what the next move was (eg "Take the exit left then take the third exit at the roundabout..." ...

When you're in map mode (for navigation or just location) it would be nice if the little arrow showing where you are could be closer to the trailing edge of the screen instead of in the middle/leading ...

Sorry, that's Tollwell/Tolwell Road, not Drive.

LE4 1 Tollwell Drive is shown as Tolwell Drive

UK location NG8 6 Colliers Way is shown as Collins Way.
