i always use the facilitry on the computer to disconnect an external device.
on the lower bar hover the pointer over the arrow head(SHOW HIDDEN ICONS). This gives an 'expanded' range of options.

well since i bought the rubber casing it wont fit into the pouch any longer and it now resides in the pocket of my jacket; but i do get rather het up when i think i have missplaced it |

i did initially try the unit with the screen attached.
It will go in (struggle) BUT it doesnt close very easily.
BETTER by far to remove screen and then insert into proshield moulding.

in response to a fellow Tyke I would suggest purchase the chargeble battery.
If set up to switch off after a limited time and turn back on so you can ascertain position battery life is fairly good
