The other thing to try is "net framework".
As has been said before it does seem to help in some situations.

If you can't see any versions you probably did, which makes it more of a mystery.
If it was me I would probably download CCCleaner and run it to clean my registry and remove any old file leftovers - ... |

| when i did the system restore i still had the version 2.6 and when i renamed it, and installed the 2.7 i still got all the error messages, so now i have removed all tom tom applications from my comput ... |

Uninstall/reinstall will encounter problems unless the 'old' file is re-named e.g. Home_old.
