Actually, does that work with Canadian/US maps as well? Would it be possible to purchase some kind of North American maps on SD and just plug them in?

Hmmm... Even though i-Go has huge warning about using this on navigation devices? The webpage states that the SD cards are only for PDAs...

I just had this idea myself, for my purposes importing POIs via the user data / user POIs is enough.
