I'm not thinking of telling it to take me to a destination. I just wondered if (when there was no route entered) if it would show my current position correctly when I was nowhere near a known road. |

Good to know. So can you tell it to "go home", and it gives you directions? What happens when you come to the part where you leave the known road? Does it just take you as close as possible? |

I can mark a position when on the road with the car. As long as the arrow shows my true position on the mountain (and not try to put me on the nearest road), it will be useful. |
