I have to say, I must agree with Brian. I have a Forerunner 405 and the problem isn't with the battery running out - it easily lasted a day when you only used GPS for exercise.

The red square is the default symbol and means the correct bitmap can't be read for some reason. It should be in the map folder, and named exactly the same as the OV2 file.

When saving an icon for TomTom, always make sure it's a BMP file, but also make sure it's a Windows 24 bit Bitmap file.
I've found it won't work otherwise. |
