Received my new aerial today
MCX is the correct connector 
The aerial is a help with reception indoors
Think I may look for a repeater sometime

The timebase of the site seems to be out of sync with the time in UK
My latest posting was timed at approx 4.30pm today
The time according to my laptop was about 7.30 am

It's a bit baffling that the plug on your aerial measures only 2.4 mm approx

I should check, the barrel dimension for a cmx connector is 3.66mm, if you google cmx connector their are various dimensional drawings shown

Measured the internal diameter of the socket with my digital caliper
It measures 3.2 mm
(Less than I estimated originally)
