The charge control gubbins are inside the TT, and all USB (AFAIK) is 5V... |

Well, the TT CLA is internally fused. Said fuse is 2A IIRC (but I'm not going out to the car to check...) Even if it was (say) 10A, that means the most the charger could take out of your car's electri ... |

I've read install instructions for some of the add-ons, and they refer to copying files into directorys in HOME and then installing.
If one doesn't use Home, do you just copy the files and folders on ... |

Yup, as the man says. ciggy lighter PSUs/ chargers are great things, but leave 'em on unattended and you're asking for a flat battery. Do it a couple of times and you'll have a dead battery... |
