I travelled through here yesterday and the limit was set to 60 mph, although I was with a colleague in the car and failed to notice the limit was set to 60 and went through the first gantry at 70.

In my case, I waited until I got round the bend so was out of site of the police, as would have been worried anyone acknowledging me would do so with a return flash of their lights, letting the police ... |

Fair point about the revenue issue. I meant making more money in general to put back into the development of safety cameras, but also take your point about the police forces targets etc.

I take the point about flashing could actually slow the 'offender' down, but surely the police prefer to catch people as it makes them more more money.
