My instructions advise that the software can be installed to PDA or PC. Whats the difference? Why would I want to install it to my PC?

Can you suggest just a tmc receiver to get me started looking please, without GPS as this is already included on the asus.
Got me thinking not much point having GPS built in to a PDA you may aswell ... |
