Well checked all of the in-line fuses. Think power is getting to the cable but it could be a fault with the pin end. Doesn't seem to 'click' in like the one from the mains.

Well I found the mains charger after purchasing a new one. Missus had put it away in my sock draw of all places!!!
Anyway, I can now confirm that the unit charges when plugged into the mains.

I don't want to end up paying too much money to get it fixed if the cheaper option would be to get a new unit. (Preferably one with the same power lead so I can use the hardwired power in the car)
