Pilgarlick,
Not sure what you mean by "checkpoint screen". If you are referring to the windows taskbar this can be altered by clicking on "start, taskbar settings". always on top, auto hide etc. |

you should be able to restore your device to its original condition.
Do a hard reset. Switch it off via the recessed switch at the back of the unit. Insert your original memory card. ... |
