I think you need to save the exe file and then double click on it each time you want to run the program - it's not an installer

Try RouteConverter (http://www.routeconverter.de/). This is free and has several handy options for thinning waypoints and it's easy to select sections to delete too.

I often use RouteConvertor to do this sort of editing (e.g. finding and deleting spurious points and unwanted sections at the start and end of tracks).

I still find the method described here the easiest. You can now import photos from Picasa which is very quick.

I recommend using the active 10 on the back of a tandem, I have my hands free to activate the screen whenever I want and it's much easier than unfolding an OS map on my partner's back

If you want to remove sections of tracks, I find RouteConverter considerably easier to use than notepad
