Thanks for your reply, but whilst exploring my 530 I couldn't find my Male or Female sound files in the sound directory so I copied the ones I had backed up from an earlier 520 I had kept ... |

Hi, I am unable to select a language on my icn 530.
There are NO languages to select in the box. consequently I have no verbal directions spoken to me either.
I did update my smart ST recently.

Makes sense to me.
I have the 510, bought in march and have upgraded it to version 2005 software. It works better than V3 in input of postcode ( finds more addresses now ) and giving directions.

Well look at the Mio 268/269.
they have released their map update and it's FREE, rather than paying £99 for the update on Navman, and it's not a proper update either.
