It happens to me also now and then. Try to connect and turn your Mio on, then restart your computer. It might help.

Yes, my GB map is also dated April 15. I think the maps are exactly the same in software version 3.0 and v. 3.11. It is just the menus and stuff that are different.

The menu button is the button on the right side of the device, not on the display. I took me some time to find that out and when I did "fast fly" worked just fine.
