I agree, mine is just a pain to use nowadays.

It's the screen taps that take just too long to process. If I want to choose a favourite to navigate to I tap the map screen, wait for 3 seconds, then ...

Thought I'd start a new thread about this as it looks like it's a wide spread problem and so far is a little hidden within the 'Go 1000 - not connecting' thread.

Both a GO1000 and a GO10 ...

No, there's no memory card in the device, just an empty slot.

I'll try the re-formatting over the weekend and also deal with the gnsdata file at the same time.

Hmm, deleting the mapsettings.cfg was the first thing I did but it hasn't helped, I still get the error message.

One of our users is getting this error on a Go540 when planning a map and/or doing other things on the device:

'Unable to store Map Settings: File Access Error'

Any idea what this is? ...

Well Tim, I turned on my 940 around 18:40 when I started my journey and hit the back of the jam about 35 minutes later - plenty of time for the TomTom to get updated - every 3 minutes??

Got stuck in the M23's accident last night - delayed me by nearly 40 minutes. Good old 940 showed no delays until approx 1hr after the accident happened.

Otherwise, if you drive in an area unfamiliar to you, how should you know that it's always congested at certain times?
