Does a utility exist that would allow 3rd party NMEA apps to work with an iQue? It seems it would be possible to create a Palm "hack" that emulates the serial port functions to do this.

As to extending battery life, isn't that theoretically possible by putting the receiver into TricklePower mode? Not that I've successfully done this yet . |

You guys are right. I checked with Fortuna, and they say there is no way to make GPSmart support TricklePower mode. |
