|
|
Aaron Goods, 24, has admitted nine instances of damaging fixed speed cameras lenses across Adelaide, Australia last November and December.
Despite these admissions, he claims little knowledge of damaging a further thirteen - he has simply told Adelaide Magistrates Court that he can't remember.
Good only pleaded guilty to charges of property damage related to nine of the fixed speed cameras worth up to $30,000AUD (£16,500) each.
He was also charged with driving offences, breach of bail and possession of a crossbow - a prohibited weapon.
The police allege he was planning to use the crossbow, which was found at his home, to fire marbles, also found at his home, to attack further speed cameras.
Another hearing will take place in September which will allow time for the parties to discuss compensation over the damaged caused.

I always thought that crossbows fired bolts, and that you needed a catapult or slingshot to fire marbles. Perhaps they do things differently in Australia? |

Bolts are of course much more common, but crossbows can be adapted to fire marbles. _________________ Robert Brady |

"Bernie the Marble" doesn't sound half as impressive as "Bernie the Bolt" (for those of you old enough to remember!)
