Just for information.
Rode through these junctions yesterday about 11.50am, all of the westbound specs between J19 and 20 have been removed. The cameras on the slip road onto the M5 were still there though

No idea if the gantry cameras are working though, I didn't see any signs etc.
Having said that, the weather was awful and visibility not great what with all the spray coming up.

I have reported them as removed just in case.

The report on BBC Points West last night said that the fixed cameras will be switched on "at a later date"

Nice and ambiguous

I'll be going through there in an hour or two. As I remember it, the M4 part was due to go live with variable speed cameras this month and there's knottalotta this month left!

Thanks for this folks.

After my weekend out and back. All the average speed cameras have now been removed from M4 both directions except the links for slip roads on M5.

So I've reported for them to be removed. I've also asked for the M4 variable speed cameras to be activated - we've had them on the database for quite some time just waiting for Der Tag. They've allegedly been on test for some weeks now, so I presume they will be live - either that or we won't harm showing them as live now.
