Hi
I recently purchased the tomtom xxl and got info and instructions from the forum on how to install the pocketgpsworld camera database and it worked a treat (many thanks)
I was browsing the net and I came across the tomtom start 60 that has a 6 inch screen I would like to buy this model and give the xxl to the wife but I am not sure if the tomtom start 60 will be able to take the pocketgpsworld camera database I would be very gratefull if anyone can tell me if it will.
Thanks again from Eddie |

Yes it will.
I have one and it takes the PGPSW database fine.
What you WILL have to get used to is the new PC interface for it.
It uses "MyTomTom" along with your web-browser to talk to the device rather than the old "Home" program and you can't just add the camera files using Windows Explorer... you HAVE to use MyTomTom.
Check out the instructions here:
Installation Guide (OV2)
or here:
Installation Guide (Single Zip File)
Both methods work, but the second one gets round a limitation if you use Internet Explorer as your browser (you can't select multiple files to upload simultaneously with IE).
______
One niggle.... If you've been using the XXL you'll already be used to the 'integrated' windscreen mount, but I find that with the 6" screen its even more of a fiddle to reach round and get the sucker attatched properly. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Wow! That has to be one of the longest waits for a reply!
Did you buy the Start 60 then? Do you like it? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

When you live on Mars, you have to take into account the propagation delay of WiFi. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,
