I have been experimenting with adding additional POI's to my Garmin Nuvi 2595 LMT. However, this has given some me very strange results:-
For instance, having successfully enlarged the speed icons to 44x44 size, I thought the better quality icons that can be downloaded from this site would also work. Initially, they did not appear at all, but then I noticed that the names of the files were slightly different so I changed them to match the other files and the icons then appeared on my sat nav. However, some of them appeared about 90% transparent.
As another experiment, I tried downloading some of the additional POI's from this site. My first attempt to upload them to the Garmin device was unsuccessful as I had failed to limit the number of files in the subfolders to 32. Having carefully rearranged the contents of the folders to comply with Garmin's limitations, I confidently uploaded the additional POI's, together with the latest speed camera data. At first, all seemed well (I have a short route planned on my sat nav near to where I live just for the purposes of testing any changes that I make to my device). However, when I set off into the city centre this morning, I kept getting speed alerts for 4 mph! In the end, I had to remove all this additional data and re-upload only the speed data and my modified icons. This all seems very curious, but I got a bit fed up with it as I had spent quite a lot of time experimenting and not managed to get it to work the way I wanted it to.

If your getting a 4mph warning then I suspect you have a "4" in the filename somewhere ?
POILoader uses the filename as the speed so "Gatso30", "30Gatso" or "GAT30so" will all be treated as a 30mph speed file and will produce warnings.
As you've discovered, when you use POILoader you need all your files within the same folder and subfolder structure to 'suck' them all in in one download.
What you could do is remove the lot and just download the cameras. Once complete and working, search the device for the .GPI file. Make sure it's 'your' new GPI as there are a few default ones. If you use a specific name in POILoader then it should be easy to differentiate.
From then on you can use POILoader to create the .GPI file on your PC and simply copy/paste the newer camera GPI file to overwrite the older one.
This will allow you to create your own specific POI's and leave them intact whilst you update the cameras as required without interfering with them. _________________ Satnav:

None of the files have a number 4 in them, but one of the sub folders does. It's called Other POIs 4. Could that be the reason? If so, I wonder why Other POIs 1, 2, 3 & 5 didn't cause any problems. Also, the 4mph speed alerts were occurring where there weren't any speed traps.

I would remove all numbers from the folder names as well and give it a go. Garmin are trying to be too clever. _________________ Satnav:
