Tom Tom navigator on multiple Palm T3

Currently I have a T3 and my wife has an older Palm. I am going to buy Tom Tom for Palm but would liek to upgrade my wife's palm and use it with the same receiver on both (so we only share the receiver not the palm which is used for everything). As the software is linked to the SD card, can I use it on two Palms if I have the SD card installed?

If the answer is no, what is the minimum I have to buy for the second Palm? Software, but no maps or a complete second set of maps? I live in Belgium and we both travel very often to Germany, France and other countries.

Another point. Obviously I need to keep the SD card delivered with the system in its original state so that I do not lose my licensed software. When I want to download maps, does this mean I need another SD card of suitable size? Clearly 64MB of RAm will not get me very far as I traverse Europe :-(

Bump.

I am really struggling between TomTom and Navman. If this answer tells me I can buy one copy of Tom tom SW then I will pay the ridiculous £100+ for the European maps. If not, I will get two copies of Navman software that deliver full maps. Navman does seem much better value for money.
