I hope this isn't a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway.
I have just bought a Go 1005 and so far love it but I am glad that most of the wrinkles were ironed out before I did buy it.
I have never bothered with hands free in the past and taken comfort that no one could bother me while driving, however a recent family emergency has changed my viewpoint. I successfully paired my iPhone 3Gs with my Go 1005 and made a test call while parked to prove it worked. However, I noticed that the Green Phone Button on the main screen, which you press to access the phone, disappears when the car is moving and reappears when the car is stationary again. Is this a built in safety feature to stop people fiddling with their screens while they are driving or have I not set something properly?
I have been through the process of checking the "make your own menu" page to see that the "phone" symbol is ticked, which it is. |

Settings/ Safety Settings then enable "Show Essential Menu Buttons While Driving" - Mike |

Thanks Mike,
I've just checked that and it was already ticked. So not that I fear. |

Think Mike was saying to UNcheck that option. _________________ David |

Ah! On the basis that phoning isn't essential when you're driving. Gotcha!
I'll give that a go when out tomorrow.
Thanks David. I'll report back. |

Thanks Guys,
Very helpful as always. I noticed that the manual, " now available only as a download", describes that safety feature in one place as
"Show Essential Menu Buttons While Driving"
But when referring to the HELP button being shown on the main menu says the safety feature is
"Show only Essential Menu Buttons While Driving"
Sloppy proof reading I guess since the menu itself also misses out the word "only".
Where would we be without you guys? |

After using the unit today I am pleased to confirm that your recommendation did it!!
But then of course we never doubted it would.
Once again, many thanks for the help. |
