Hi i have a 710 i use for holidays and on returning from france I found it would not switch on when plugged into the car a green light is on I have tried removing the memory card and shoving a paper clip in the hole at the front but still no go
any idea if its worth fixing ? as i have seen a XL v2 refurb for £69 dont know what to do any advice would be great Embarassed

Do you still have the home dock and mains charger? if so what does it do when connected to the mains.

Sorry to inform you but shoving a paperclip in the hole on the front of the device will have broken the devices microphone, the reset button is underneath the unit next to the electrical connections the mount/ dock uses, you are best to use a pin/ needle to press the switch as its smaller than most paperclips.

Try resetting the unit - Mike

i found the reset button pressed it with a pin and bingo the buggar switched on Very Happy
oh you just made an old man very happy I was just about to parcel it up and send it off Laughing Out Loud
I am now sitting here with a big smile on my face
