Not sure how the data will get used though? Will they pass on the findings to local authorities? The police (look at the trouble Tomtom got into for doing something similar last month!)
As a slight aside... in that article it says
Quote: | In particular, observers will be asked to monitor signs of dangerous driving such as using hand-held mobile phones, jumping red lights, discarding seatbelts and failing to indicate. |
How exactly does not wearing a seatbelt constitute dangerous driving?
(Unless of course "discarding" means actually struggling out of it while going across the junction!) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I didn't realise that 'failing to indicate' came under the auspices of 'Dangerous Driving' Inconsiderate, yes, dangerous? Perhaps the wording is a bit OTT, but it usually is when talking about motorists |

No doubt there will be a 'database'. Trouble is once you have data you need to think of something to do with it. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Lycra clad cyclists at every junction soon then. At least in will keep them from cycling on pavements for the hour they're spying on motorists.
Quote: | discarding seatbelts and failing to indicate. |
It appears the offence is 'Failing to indicate you are about to discard your seatbelt'.
The AA should get a new logo The SS. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
