Another thread discusses TT navigating the wrong side of the road.
I found a funny in UK this week.
Plan a route from Lyneham, Wiltshire to Swindon. In Wootton Bassett (where they line the roads for the convoy of hearses bringing coffins of servicemen home) there is a mini roundabout which shows on the map and is very clear in Streetview, at 51.54357, -1.90173.
Zoom in (or run demo) and see TT will guide you across the roundabout swinging anti clockwise across it!
You can do the same in TomTom Routeplanner and see the kink round it.
I haven't tested the opposite direction. I'm on map 865 and last time I did the run, I was on map 860 and didn't notice anything (it might have been like it then, I just don't need to follow the map there).

There was one of those near me, by East Surrey Hospital. I think it took three map versions before it was corrected.
I guess if people don't use MapShare, it might take even longer for yours.... _________________ Tim |

I'm yet to see my MapShare submissions incorporated.
TomTom show roads through houses which have been standing since 1950s (long before digital maps had been dreamed of) - barely room to walk down the footpath, let alone drive a vehicle.
If it wasn't for the fact that I keep getting routed that way, I'd have given up submitting corrections long ago.
So, I wouldn't view MapShare as a cure other than an ability to locally correct your device. _________________ Andy

If I drove a tank, I could also create my own road and correct the road to the map rather than map to road _________________ Andy

If you're talking about the old one where the speed limits became 31mph, etc, that has been cured for quite some time. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |
