|
I've followed all the instructions about voices and POI loader, and it fails.
If I read it right it states only use MP3 if your unit can play MP3 files. I can find no reference to MP3 in the 2200 manual so I tried to use the .WAV files.
POI Loader now looks like it only accepts MP3 files.
Q: Are MP3 files OK with my 2200 ? _________________ Satnav:

Have you installed sox.exe as per the instructions?
Can you say exactly where in the instructions it fails and what messages or whatever you get?
Instructions are here.
EDIT: I still think there is some confusion over where sox.exe should go.
I believe sox.exe is supposed to go in the same folder as the main POILoader program.
There was a recent report that POI Loader now installs to C:\ProgramFiles\Garmin, but I just installed it and it appeared in the old location of C:\Garmin
You may need to experiment until this is sorted out. I do not have a Garmin device currently to try it out with.
Also... can you say where you got the impression that POILoader only accepts .mp3 files now? |
