|
|
I have this TT One which has no memory card facility and currently has Western & Central Europe Map v840.2562 installed.
The memory of the device is 1.91Gb
Used space is 1.8Gb
Free 107Mb
The installed map is 1.62 Gb
I have updated the Application to the latest available for this device to 9.053 (April last year)
I wish to update the Map but the same map is now over 2Gb
I am looking for a similar coverage, but cannot see on the TT map shop website a map that is suitable. Will I have to only stay with the existing map or change to UK & ROI ?
Any suggestions _________________ Gee-Pee

If you do a search on, e.g., "map won't fit" in the TomTom forum you'll find this has been discussed in many threads. _________________ Anita

Yes, it comes up with about 12,000. I was hoping that someone could answer my specific problem. Will carry on searching _________________ Gee-Pee

The Europe map is now supplied as four or five different zones if your model cannot take the full map. You are entitled to download them all, but can only install one at a time.
Try a forum search for "zones" for loads of discussion. |

Thanks, Andy. Will do the search, but I suspect my order for them might not have the options.
And, David, no, 'fraid not. _________________ Gee-Pee

Did you select "Search for all terms", and restrict it to the TomTom PND forum? I also find diplaying the results as posts makes it easier to find any helpful information. When I searched I got 432 posts, with relevant threads on the first page.
I'm not being difficult, I just think it's better to help you to make effective searches than answer the same question many times over. _________________ Anita

I did indeed, Anita. Thanks.

I do usually search before posting if I think the question could have been answered somewhere, but sometimes, the answers are not relavant despite trawling through lengthy threads and then I do what I did here.

Andy, thanks for the suggestion. I now see what you mean, as I had not nor had the need to use this TT facility before. Downloaded the full W & CE Map of over 2Mb then TT Home2 advised me that the whole map would not fit and pointed me to the option of choosing a 'Zone'. Chose the W & S Europe and installed that without problem. Feel a right idiot, for not following the TTHome advice on this before. Should have known better. _________________ Gee-Pee
