Hi all
Am down with inlaws over the Xmas/new year period so I thought I would take advantage of the superduper broadband that exists in civilisation (we cant get it as we are on a sub exchange) and update the TT iPhone app's Mapshare. It seems there is a bug as my TT app keeps shutting down. Have restarted the phone, reset the phone, changed most options within the app that I think maybe relevant to Mapshare but it's still shutting the app down.
Anyone else found this happening on their iPhone at all and if possible a solution? I am going to keep trying changing settings?
Cheers

I have the same version of the iPhone app as yourself and have not found this bug myself. I download the latest corrections on an (almost) daily basis and have not found the issue you mention.
Not sure what else to try to remedy the situation for yourself. Can you try it with Wifi turned off and just use GPRS/EDGE/3G?
Just an idea!

Steven,
I tried what you suggested but to no avail and I also tried it with a route set and without and the app seemed to get to a different point before crashing. I then found that you can remove all downloaded map corrections in the Change Preferences - Reset menu so I did that and now I can download Mapshare again to my device!
Thanks

Hi tafrost,
Great to know that you solved the issue If it happens again, can you please report it here? Would be interesting to know how often this happens.
Cheers,
David. |

Hi Nudgeee
Welcome to PGPSW forums! I have managed to download the mapshare corrections several times since both over WIFI (in civilisation) and over GPRS in the wilds of Scotland and all seems to be going smoothly.
