Might be a zip file. If it is did you unzip it? _________________ David

Can you tell us which format you were downloading (CSV or OV2), and which, and how many, POIs? _________________ Richard

So are you using a Mac, or Windows?
What method, and application, are you using that gives the error message?
Have you tried downloading again, to see if the error is the same?
If we know what we are dealing with, we should be able to get you up and running. _________________ Richard

I'm using windows (7) and have been using Chrome but couldn't get the poi's to list so had to resort to using IE8
I would select the country/s and refresh
select the catagories (fuel and supermarkets)
choose garmin CSV
leave as seperate file per catagory
click download
save zip file.
after it had saved I would try to open the file but it wouldn't as it was corrupt with "no data" even though it was 400-500kb in size
everything I have tried to open/extract the zip file has failed so haven't got to use garmins poi loader yet.
if you can help that would be great.

Either that or with the way the webpage loads on the Win7 m/c.
I suppose (just as an experiment) you could take the zip file home that you downloaded at work, (on a memory stick or email it to yourself) and see if the Win7 machine will unzip it or not. |

right I think on the Win 7 machine the temp zip file is too long ie. c:/blah/blah/blah /blah/temp/windows rubbish/etc/etc/poi download filename.zip
selecting the "show link" shortens the name right up and so works first time. |
