TomTom holds BT connection

I read that TomTom's GPS driver constantly holds open a connection to the Bluetooth stack on the Pocket PC which results in a failure with any other application wanting to talk to a Bluetooth GPS

If I have TomTom in my PPC, how can i make use of other GPS applications (naturally when TT is not running)?

Two options - either uninstall the GPS version you have installed and install GPS 2.07, or, assuming you want to keep GPS 2.08 and upwards, uninstall TomTom ~ GPS once, which removes the interfering Bluetooth driver.

To uninstall once (or twice for a complete removal of GPS 2.08 and upwards, so that you can install 2.07, which is in the downloads area of this site), go to the Start menu, Settings, System tab, Remove Programs. Tap on TomTom ~ GPS and tap Remove. The first time (and possibly the second) you will be asked to tap OK to soft reset the Pocket PC - if you're not asked to do so, I suggest you soft reset anyway.
