Hi
can any one work this out:
I used home to check for updates for my 920, and it informed me there was a application update.
so, I carried out a full backup (using explorer), then reconnected and downloaded the navcore update.
when 920 rebooted, i was surprised to find a completely different looking menu system, and first question it asked mewas what vehicle i had.
when i checked the menus, I found I had TomTom Work and navcore application 8.392 (1909/091109).
My 920 settings are still intact, so no mapconfig problems.
anyone have any ideas why I was offered this update and is it likely to be of any benefit over 8.351?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
EDIT: just found this link which relates to download http://num1.id.tomtom.com/13051
(I know I have not updated my profile, and will not until I know navcore if it is of benefit to me) _________________ Mick

Other than the new look icons etc it will be of no extra use as the map is the wrong one to support the Work software which you have installed. Why TomTom Home is doing this to some devices and not others is a mystery, you can phone them on Monday to ask why but probably a waste of time (0845 161 0009) if you want to revert back to Navcore 8,351 just ask and we can tell you how to do this in a few easy steps - Mike |

Re-installing the backup will put Navcore 8,351 back on the device although I would simply install the Navcore 8,351 directly to the TomTom using WinRar as this only takes around 2 minutes compared to an hour or so for a full 920 re-install - Mike |
