Hi there
Please can someone help me.
I have trouble with the two POIs I have mentioned in the fact that the logo does not come up when I have downloaded into my phone. I only get a pin symbol.
I have several other ones loaded with no problem.
Do you know if it is the .bmp file that is corrupt and what can I do about it?
I have deleted and downloaded again several times but it always remains the same.
I look forward to any help you can give me.

All I can think of is that there is a certain "flavour" of .bmp image files that your phone doesn't like.
For example some of the icon files are 72dpi (dots per inch) and some are 96dpi

I'm not saying that's the reason you're having problems, just clutching at straws., so it would really help if you could give us the name of one of the files that DOES work OK.

I just downloaded the Subway and Marston Inns POIs and also (at random) Mcdonalds and Starbucks. I then looked at the image properties for them all in a "Paint" program (Corel Photopaint)

All of them are 22x22 pixels in size and all of them are 24-bit uncompressed bitmaps, so no differences there.

But Subway and Marston Inns are both 72dpi while Mcdonalds is 96dpi.
However Starbucks is also 72dpi.... so without knowing what ones you've tried and which ones DO work for you, I can't really come to any conclusions yet.

Post back with some more info.

What software / satnav are they being installed on? I wonder of there's a limit that's making those not show rather than the files being 'wrong'?

I tried downloading all the names you mentioned and the icons for them are all 72dpi as well (except for Waitrose and Beefeater which are 120dpi!)

So bang goes that theory....

Do you have anything on your PC that you could open those problem icons in, tinapatra? (even the bog-standard 'MSPaint' that's on every PC would do).
If we can confirm the icons themselves look OK, we can concentrate on MaFt's idea that it might be an overloading issue in Co-Pilot.

I presume you've tried downloading those POIs again, just in case it was a corrupted archive the first time???
