I have just downloaded the Central and Western Europe maps from TT but now seem to have lost my speed cameras and warning voices. When I open the folder named Western and Central Europe it does not look at all like the old UK one. No sign of camera files or of ogg files. Any clues? _________________ Bazzza

It sounds like you had a UK map and now have a Europe one (as well?). The files you need are different so just download the EUR camera set and copy them across to the new map folder as you did with the UK ones.
You'll need the EUR ogg and bmp files as well.
You have taken a backup, haven't you? _________________ Gerry

Thanks Gerry, I did take a backup before I downloaded the new maps.
I have pasted the EU cameras into the W&CE folder. I have also pasted the UK cameras into the same folder as I do not now have a UK map folder. (is that ok so far?) I have also pasted in a set of UK ogg files but cannot find any EU ones. I know it's difficult but you need to come down to my level for me to understand. _________________ Bazzza

I think your original query was because you were expecting Home to be clever enough to move the cameras and other POIs over to the new map for you?
It isn't!
But what you've done so far, manually, sounds right to me...
You've realised the EUR camera data doesn't include the UK cams, so you've installed both sets - good.
You've installed the ogg warning files for the UK cams - good
There aren't many EUR warning voices yet, but there's at least one... Kate (euro), 8th one down on the voice download page HERE. Add those in the same way and you should be fine. |

I think the penny has just dropped about why the voices aren't working. I think I need to go through that labourious process with the POIs.
I did that and for the first few cameras all went ok but then when I clicked on OK it either gave me a choice of warning sounds and the choice of recording one, or it did nothing instead of going to the next POI. I now have lots of cameras on the POI list but a lot of them don't have a warning voice. I checked that the ogg file is there and it is. I don't know where to go from here. _________________ Bazzza

Try 'method 2' near the bottom of this page of instructions instead. I always find it works better. |

Thanks Andy, Method 2 worked. It's a long labourious process when you have all the EU cameras to do too and it involved a couple of resets. Main thing is I got my voices back. _________________ Bazzza
