|
|
I have added speed cameras to my RNS 510 unit:
- downloaded data from PocketGPSWorld (pocketgps_uk_gatso, mobile, pmobile, redlight, specs.ov2 + associated .bmp files)
- used Pimp my Nav and UltraIso to create new DVD
- loaded into RNS 510 system (onto hard drive)
The POI are present when you select from the Navigation menus, but do not display on the map. I have reset the unit etc.
I have also downloaded other categories from PocketGPSWorld and have the same issue.
Map DVD used as base was 7.1. My car was built October 2010 - Golf GT - don't know what version of firmware, but does display 7 digit postcode.
Any ideas? |

You'd need to ask the authors of PimpMyNav. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The 7.1 and 7.2 maps use a different database format for the POIs.
I would take a look at POInspect0r available here.
I am going to be having a go at converting the PGPSW POIs later today and loading via SD card so will see how it goes.
If you are running a 3xxx firmware your hard drive will have a 3rd partition for POIs which is new........... |

Not had a chance to play with POInspec0r much today - I didn't realise it would take me 4 hours to upgrade the firmware and maps and then 'fix' the firmware so that the Multi-Function Steering Wheel Controls work!
Thank god for google when things don't go as expected |
