As well as the UK/ROI, TT 7 also give you London as a seperate map. But where is it...I've looked on the SD card and can see the UK and US maps that I have, but where is London, as I was going to download the camera data base on to this one. Thanks. |

Although my main experience is with TomTom stand-alone sat-navs, rather then the Navigator program for other hardawre, I have NEVER herd of a separate London map from TomTom, and there isn't one available on their website, so I think you've been given duff information.
Where did you read about it?
There also wouldn't be any need for it - the mapping of London is complete on the UK (or the Europe) maps.
The speed camera database an be installed in the UK map folder.
As You mention TT7, it sounds like you are using it on a phone or PDA and as this question isn't about the speed camera database as such, I'll move the topic to the TT Navigator section. |

When you get a device with TTN7 installed it offers you a free "Taster" map which you can download based upon nearest major city so London is certainly available, I used a more regional specific free map on one of my PDA's (I think I use Kendal).
Not too sure why it won't show up but as you have the UK&ROI map installed why not simply use that as the coverage will be the same for London with the larger map in use? - Mike |

You used to be able to buy 'city' maps, back when I owned a TT1 classic! These were stopped a while back now.
But basically, for around £4, you could buy just a city you needed instead of a whole country. ie you have UK&ROI map, but go to Barcelona on holiday, so just need Barcelona city centre map, not Spain or Europe!
Unfortunatley, this city map idea was stopped a few years ago now

I haven't really checked, but I'm assuming that the London map would be far more detailed than the 'regular' ? Or perhaps there are some other significant differences I'm not aware of maybe ?
ps Can you point me in the direction of the Congestion Charge POI....I had on TT3 ages ago but can't for the life of me lay my hands on it...thanks.
pps Had another hunt around for London but still can't see it on the card ! |

Have a look in MyDocuments on the PDA as it might not be installed to the memory card, as I recall these downloaded maps went straight on the internal memory which used to cause an issue when you only had 64MB available on earlier PDA's - Mike |

Nope, it would offer exactly the same level of detail.
