On the 530 the Map Update service is due to expire along with the GPRS traffic service in around a month. Home is offering them to me again and I have a few minor issues about renewal.
If I subscribe before the end of my current subscription, is the new subscription added to the remainder of the old or does it start immediately?
Does the map update service offer you a fixed number of updates or all updates that are released within a year? I know TT normally release four maps a year, but as they do not follow an exact timetable, the fourth one in a year could be released on day 364 or 367 and you may or may not get it if you have a 365 day update service. Mine expires mid-November when a map should be due. _________________ Drivelux |

My Map Update is the same - due to expire mid-Dec, but being offered the renewal now.
I'm not going to renew until December, since I'm sure they'll take the money now, but does this mean that if there's an update in the next month, I won't receive it ? |

Mine has expired already, after the fourth map update.
I am now receiving regular emails inviting me to renew, with "Click here to renew" (got my third or fourth such email this morning). I imagine you'd be just as well waiting until you get similar emails, rather than trying to anticipate it yourself. That should overcome any concerns you may have about getting the full annual renewal programme. _________________ Dennis
