|
|
Sorry if I have missed this when I searched through the posts but when I am in Jukebox on the 930 and tick the 'switch back to driving view' option, would I be correct in saying that when I get a navigation instruction the map should appear instead of the Jukebox?
Nothing seems to happen on mine with this option selected or am I missing something?

That is what I thought it meant as well.
I have never found out what it actually does though. |

I did work this out a while back...
From memory, all that option does is drop you back to the normal display as soon as you select a song from the song list, or if you hit "pause" on the "player" page with the transport controls.
without it set, when you select a song from the list, it takes you to the player page and if you hit "pause" it just sits there waiting for you to hit "back". |

Andy is right. If not selected , then the screen stays on the title being played, and if selected, it goes straight back to map view as soon as the song is selected

It never did that on my 920 - it just stayed on the Jukebox screen. |

Slightly different scenario?
Once you are on the jukebox screen, the ONLY thing that makes it go away is hitting "pause" (or "back" then "done") |

Nope... software designer error! (or lazyness).
It always bugs me that you need to do TWO screen taps to get back "home" from the jukebox screen.
Normally it's two taps in the same place, but if, like me, you have the Go set up left-handed only SOME of the buttons switch sides, so it means "tap right, tap left". |

That's why the word 'left' is translated as 'gauche' in French and 'sinister' in Latin, Andy. The world hates us lefties! _________________ David |

Drifting off-topic, but have you ever tried proper left-handed scissors? Quite a revelation!
(For those bemused by this, on normal scissors, not only are the handles completely the wrong shape for left handers, but also they are riveted together such that a left hander tends to push the blades apart rather than squeeze them together as you close them) |

Only slightly back on topic, but, I have just tried to navigate my 730 to see what ticking the "Switch to Driving View" icon does or doesn't do and I have just found out that it will not play any mp3's now. They are still there because I can access them via my PC but TT's juke box will not play them. Doh! What would I do with all my spare time if I did not have a TT? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
