Hi
I think voice control only works if you have a "computer voice" selected. Try selecting a computer voice or download one from Home if there isn't one on the device.

Use Windows Explorer to view the Western Europe map folder, are there lots of files that start with cspeechXYZ if these are missing you will need to add them from your backup or download them - Mike |

Mike the cspeech_GBR and cspeech_IRL are in the folder all the others I deleted as not neccesary. _________________ Malcolm

If the Voice control prefs aren't working, you need to create a file (in notepad) called support_asr.dat
The contents of this file should be a single number 1, nothing else.
Save this file in the folder named ASR in the root of your TomTom.
It took me a whole week to figure this out, TomTom support couldn't advise me, and told me my unit was faulty, and would need to be sent away for repair! |
