GO 630 looses sound

I've just bought a Go630 which came with system8016.9380 and map WEur 810.1907. Using TTHome I updated it to system 8351.9982 and map 830.2305.
Now it seems that whenever I connect it to the computer to transfer speedcam files using Explorer and then remove it and switch it on, there is no sound when I press the bottom bar to adjust volume. I seem to either have to Turn Sound Off and then turn it back on again or (I think!) switch the Go off and back on again. Having used my TT One for 3 years with no sign of any problems, it is disappointing that the new one seems unreliable. Has anyone seen a similar problem or found a resolution?
