map download not correct

hi i noticed tom tom had reduced there maps by 40% and paid and downloaded the latest 8.30 for my tom tom one v2 gb, when i now check on my tom tom its only 7.9 yes it was an old 6.5 and there is definatley an update but why not the latest, this was only done 25th july, if its wrong how do i contact tom tom
any help would be appreciated

You may be confusing the application version with the map version.

Tap the satellite bars and the next screen shows the application version installed. Now, tap the version number and the next screen shows the map and its version installed.

Now, make a complete Explorer, not Home backup.

David thanks for the info, yes you were spot on when i did as you suggested and tapped the version 7.9 the map version came up correct.
