Way back, in the mists of time, a thread was started called 'Navigator 2 Map Errors'. This was intended to list errors so that those nice people at TomTom could get them corrected in the next version. One of the earliest posts was from Andrew Gibbs -

Quote:
Wengeo Lane in Ware (Herts) is shown as a through road, in fact it is signed from both directions as a dead end (maybe it is not, but I did not want to try!)

Andrew and I must work in the same place, because as I left last night TTN3 directed me up.... Wengeo Lane!!

So don't bother adding anything to this thread - it's obvious that it all just gets filed in the round filing cabinet of the TomTom offices.

Can you check it out, and ideally post co-ordinates (not that this one is difficult to find) and a screen shot showing avoid areas placed across the 'no through' points?

This road can't be completely no through, as there's cul de sacs off it. However, avoid areas should be able to sort the problem if there is one.

I'd like to link in this thread, which shows another error and commend, if possible, the kind of screen shot I've provided there.

David,

Why can't it? Surely some of the cul de sacs could be accessible from one end and the rest from the other.

Just out of interest, Autoroute 2004 and SmartST Pro V2 both show it as a through road.

Of course - though I somehow read the original description as there being a total of two dead ends, leaving some roads possibly cut off to vehicular traffic (and pedestrianised?).

If the road is blocked to traffic at one point mid way along its length, that makes more sense.

Another error for all to bear in mind is in Brighton East Sussex i was heading to Furze Hill from the seafront. Version 3 sent me up Brunswick Square to cross Western Road, only problem is you cant as it is a no through route compliments of the council and those lovely solid metal posts, they tell me the highways officer on Brighton council is anti car, that would explain the sudden upsurge in bicycle lanes all over the place, obviously the right man for the job.
