|
|
I have a 530T. Fully updated with latest downloads etc. from TomTom.
I also have PGPSW Safety Cameras and a "silent tune" to enable radio reception of instructions.
When "silent tune" is running I'm unable to download Traffic Data - it tries and tries but no joy.
Do I have a memory problem ? If so will a memory card help ?
Where do I get memory cards and what do I ask for ?
If I get a memory card, do I have to put the PGPSW Camers and the Tune on the card ? If so, how ?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'm a non-techie newbie
Thanks for any help. |

My money is on interference between the FM transmitter in the TT and the RDS-TMC receiver.
Try using a different frequency for the FM transmission well away from the 100-102 range.
Also make sure the cables etc for the RDS-TMC are as far away from the TT and the power cable as possible.
You do have the receiver that ends in .013 don't you, not the earlier one that could hardly get a signal anyway? |

I should have made it clearer !!!
I'm talking about TomTom Traffic service, not the RDS-TMC system.
Sorry for any confusion

Ah, completely different then. When you said 530T that implied you were using the RDS-TMC receiver.
If you can't get a data traffic updates whilst using the FM transmitter then something very odd is going off.
My first step would be to perform a hard reset using the reset button underneath - you don't lose any settings by doing this.
The next step would be to run the clearflash tool - available from here.
The third thing I would try is deleting the mobile phone pairing from both the TT and the phone, restart both and then repair.
After that, if it still doesn't work, post back on here. |

Andy
Many thanks for your help.
I carried out a reset, then deleted my phone connections and then re-instated them.
This seems to have done the trick.
If I get any further problems, I'll carry out your third suggestion of using the flash tool.
Thanks again
