Which TomTom to get? Please

I live in Ontario, close enough to the border if I have to, but I am wondering which TomTom GPS unit should we buy.

We had and killed a little Nextar GPS lasted just over 1 year, and now need another unit, I like the Tomtom name and reputation, also the POI downloads/uploads and IQ Routes.

So regardless of price in which order should we consider which models of TomTom? We were thinking of the 440-S, but the 730 and 930 look good as well.

We travel all around and over both our great lands, Canada and USA, text to speech is a must, POI updates as well as upload and downloads a must, ability to find a restaurant when we need one and hotel as well, we just have no idea on the different models.
