Hi
I have a 720 running 3.302 and I am trying to add voice alerts to the various speed cameras but don't get them as an option to chose after setting the warning distance. I have looked at this http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/speed-camera-alerts-tomtom.php but don't really have a clue. Any help?
Also when driving along all my petrol stations appear to be "off road" with some "off road" on the other side of the road. any ideas?
Cheers |

After you have set the warning distance the device should offer a screen saying "Is this the sound you want to use" answer Yes (even though it doesn't play anything) and the ogg file will be automatically assigned. If you answer No to the question it will lock the device up requiring a reset to recover - Do you get the question screen?
Have a read of This page where there are some additional instructions and a method to test the warnings to ensure thay are working - Mike |

when I enter the warning distance I get offered Select a Warning Sound with all the Bells, Beeps etc. I don't get Is This The Sound You want To Select option. Have I done something wrong somewhere? |

Something isn't quite right then, when you downloaded the ogg voice pack did you make sure it matches the type of Speed Camera DataBase you have installed:
Single File
Consolidated by type
Speed Zoned
If you view the map folder of your device using Windows Explorer then you should be able to see four files per Speed Camera POI category
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.bmp (the icon)
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30_X2.bmp (the larger icon for the top left warning)
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ov2 (the database locations)
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ogg (the audio file)
Notice all the file names match, check this is the case for what you have got installed - Mike |
