How is it that I could drive all the way to Luxembourg using my TT2 maps but when I want to cross the Irish sea I have to ask my way?!
I also have Smart ST Pro mapping software and think Northern Ireland and Ireland maps may be there but would I be able to either copy these maps across and use these either via TT2 or possibly using Smart ST Pro as my GPS source? Can I have both on at the same time? |

You can't use Navman maps with TT2. You can have both TT2 and SmartST installed on your PocketPC at the same time, but you can't have them running at the same time. _________________ Tim |

Thanks. That's what I thought. So it looks as if I could have both TT2 and Navman/ Smart ST Pro maps loaded and then I could then use Navman GPS/maps when I visit Northern Ireland?? Will they need to stored in a separate place from TT2 maps (these are on a SD card on iPaq 5500 but I could copy the Smart St PRO maps on the CF card in the Navman or even on the iPaq itself if necssary. |

Yep.

They can live on the same card if it's big enough. I have SmartST V2, mapopolis and original Tomtom maps all on my 256Mb SD card at the moment and haven't had any problems so far (touch wood). _________________ Tim |

Never been there in my life, actually! I had the Tomtom from ages ago and never cleared them off! I use SmartST Pro on a daily basis, but since they moved to TeleAtlas data, I've been exploring other avenues. Mapopolis offer a 'try before you buy' option, so I did. They use Navteq data, like the old SmartST did. I quite like the mapopolis stuff but the voice instructions are awful Sounds like Arnie in the Terminator!
I'm still looking, but I find it difficult to get enthusiastic about anything I've found out there thus far. If only Navman would go back to NAvteq, I'd be as happy as Larry. _________________ Tim |
