Cheers, just checked out the list.
There is quite alot of phones that are not compatible with the SMS side.
That is very annoying. Tomtom must surely be sorting this out.
Any Thoughts

You could just as well say: "The phone manufacturers must surely be sorting this out"
It seems that BlueTooth is a 'nest of snakes' and there are no standard protocols, everybody just does their own thing (and usually don't publish how they do it). TomTom have a hell of a job trying to keep up.
Having said that, judging by how out of date the compatible phone list is, it looks like TT might have given up completely!
I seem to remember the departed member "shadamehr" had some good technical reasons why the Series 6 Nokia phones were so incompatible. Might be worth a forum search. |

As I'm one post down from Andy_P he's probably just about to keel over at the idea of me DEFENDING Tom Tom :-) However if ever there was a standard abused by maufacturers it's bluetooth.
I've just spent several days trying to get a Parrot Conference (a desktop conferencing device) to work with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack on my laptop but only the purchase of a Belkin dongle with widicomm stack lets me do it. The Tosh one is built in so it's really pants that I have to buy and plug in another device. So unless everyone agrees on the implementation i suppose we have to excuse Tom Tom .....did I just say that? _________________ Tom Tom GO 720
